I am delighted to share

Empire Media's latest social media campaign, in partnership
with IATP,
Parent
Earth, and One
Tray, to promote healthier food in school lunches (and pay a small homage to 70's sci-fi in the process). The statistics are terrifying—1 in 3 children in the U.S. will develop diabetes. The Child Nutrition Act determines what more than 30 million children eat at school five days a week, 180 days a year. The health of the future depends on access to healthier school lunches for children. Kids get this, but will Congress?
As Congress begins spring recess on March 26, help us spread the word by signing our petition encouraging Congress to support Farm to School in the upcoming reauthorization of the Child Nutrition Act. Farm to School programs combat obesity and nourish a healthy generation with more local fruits and vegetables.
One Tray (www.OneTray.org), the national campaign to improve child nutrition by encouraging a more direct connection between local farms and schools through federal nutrition policy, has launched a petition to Congress urging support for Farm to School policy.
Share the video, petition and this email with your family, friends, coworkers, networks or anyone who supports a healthy future for our nation's children.
Upon Congress's return to session, help make reauthorization of the Child Nutrition Act—including provisions for Farm to School programs and a school food system that supports healthy children and local farmers.
